In collaboration with the Fondazione Ricerca e Innovazione Cardiovascolare (Fondazione RIC) and the DCB Academy, Dr. Cortese is conducting the MUS.E II Study—a pioneering clinical trial investigating the impact of music therapy on outcomes in high-risk coronary interventions. This research explores how music can reduce stress, influence physiological parameters, and support patient recovery, aiming to integrate human-centered innovation into interventional cardiology.

Prof. Bernardo Cortese is Co‑Director of the Coronary Center at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, and Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He plays a key role in the Vascular and Heart Institute Cleveland Collaboration, contributing his expertise in complex coronary interventions, clinical research, and cardiovascular innovation.
